I never understood it when people tell me an outfit I'm wearing won't be able to translate to real life/public.
"I just can't see you wearing this out in public. You just don't go get a cup of coffee wearing that
What the hell does that mean?!
If I want to wear an entire runway look, then I damn well will do as I please. Why tone down a "runway look" because supposedly--like oh my god--PEOPLE WON'T LIKE IT BECAUSE IT'S TOO MUCH? I freaking love the looks on the runway. The styling is always so amazing and inspiring. Who the hell cares what strangers think, anyway? If you feel like going through life basing everything you do on the good opinions of other's, then I feel very sorry for you.
The only thing I can think of that won't be appropriate in public is being completely naked, showing your privates, or wearing only your undies. As I am guilty of none of those things, I refuse to believe that what I normally wear on a daily basis is somehow not-for-public.
